Nokia X71, nice phone but !!

Nokia X71 is the device that we think could bring Nokia back into the GAME OF PHONES. HMD Global has launched the new Nokia X71 in China and it is stunningly beautiful. The main highlight about the device is a hole-punch placed at the top left edge of the screen that contains a front camera lens. With all the handsome looking specifications, we have just one single complain from Nokia. Read the full article to know that.

The smartphone boasts a 2.5D double-sided hyperboloid glass design with copper accents gracing the frame. The power button on right also works as a breathing light to alert for notifications. X71 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and has 128GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

Talking about the camera department, X71 has a triple rear camera setup featuring a 48MP Zeiss optical sensor, a 5MP depth for field sensor, and an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor. The smartphone supports AI-backed scene recognition and Portrait mode. The 16MP front camera with a new-generation image processing technology enables shooting clear images with low noise. The device has 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging which makes it fast charge supported.

The device runs on latest Android Pie (9) out of the box and we are expecting Andoird Q beta testing sometime soon. The device supports all the connectivity options dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth. The device also has USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In the multimedia department, the phone is integrated with Nokia OZO 360° sound technology for better audio output that Nokia claims to be best in business.

HMD Global is launching some devices in the market that are not really loved by the majority of geeks, as some of it were way too expensive looking at the specification but it could have been improvised in the upcoming devices. But even with the launch of the new X71, the company retained their old policy as they are offering Snapdragon 660 even when the new Snapdragon 730 and 730G is available in the market. Although the performance of the Snapdragon 660 is really impressive, the device costs around INR 27,000. Whereas in same price range, devices like ASUS 5Z and Oneplus 6 are available after some discounts that run on superfast Snapdragon 845. The device will not have any issue in the day to day usage, but something more could have been expected from a company like Nokia which once changed the overall mobile market.
