PIXEL 4 and PIXEL 4 XL features | Techy Dimension

Google has just launched its all-new PIXEL 4 and 4 XL to the world and looking at the specifications, we think that Google can win this time against Apple’s iPhone 11 Pro Max and Samsung’s Note 10+. Google has also launched the new Nest Wi-Fi, and the Pixelbook Go at the event in New York.

A Canadian retail site that had already leaked all the specifications of the latest offering by Google, revealed that the phone was expected to have a better Assistant, Camera, and new gestures that let you control the phone without touching it. Well yeah, all the leaked information proved to be true this time.

Both the devices namely Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. New Pixel phones have a 5.7-inch full-HD+ OLED Smooth 90Hz display for the Pixel 4, while the Pixel 4 XL has a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ OLED Smooth 90Hz display.

Talking about the cameras, the devices have a 12-MP and 16-MP sensors with the capability to shoot in 4K resolution. Both the phones have 8-MP front cameras with 1080p video resolution. Face unlocking works like a charm this time as it unlocks the device without you even wanting to unlock your phone- thanks to the new Motion Sense that uses a mix of sensors, infrared and a tiny radar to let you unlock the Pixel 4 with your face faster than ever.

The Face Unlock is claimed to be better than competitors this time. This Face Unlock feature would also allow users to make payments on the Google Play Store. The feature will also allow users to make transactions on Google Pay, similar to Face ID on a compatible iPhone or iPad device. Pixel 4 has 2,700mAh battery and the Pixel 4 XL has a larger 3,700mAh battery that supports fast charging.

This year’s phones made by Google have old bezels, a 90Hz display, and a square-shaped dual rear camera module. So, we can say that this year’s pixel series has the display we already saw in Oneplus’s 7 and even in 7t, the camera cut-out at back from Apple’s latest offering and the same old bulky and bezel full design on the front.

Talking about the shades, Google has always been crazy when it comes to naming the shades of their devices. Devices are launched in 3 finishes namely- “Just Black”, “Clearly White”, and a limited-edition of “Oh So Orange”.

Talking about the prices, Google Pixel 4 starts at USD 794.08 (roughly Rs. 56,000) for the 64GB variant and goes up to USD 907.52 (roughly Rs. 65,000) for the 128GB variant. Meanwhile, the Pixel 4 XL is available at USD 907.52 (roughly Rs. 65,000) for the 64GB variant and the 128GB model is priced at USD 1028.53 (roughly Rs. 73,500).
