ASUS has finally launched program for PIE update for its devices. First came ZENFONE 5Z, now came ZENFONE MAX PRO M2. Company promised to roll the updates for M2 in January 2019. This may not be the official update and may not be in January but at least we got some great news as of now. PIE update for MAX PRO M1 still does not have any confirmed dates, but in the launch of a MAX PRO M2 and MAX M2 the company announced that it will get the update before the February ends. This is what ASUS INDIA posted on their official ASUS INDIA Instagram handle 3 days back.
WHAT IS A BETA UPDATE?
There are two stages that a software or OS undergoes before being officially released for public. These stages are- ALPHA and BETA.
ALPHA phase is the early stages of testing and the company itself tests for the bugs, issues and problems in the software after it has been created.
After the company is satisfied with the software’s performance in Alpha stage, they pass that particular software/OS into BETA phase where they launch that update to people who have enrolled themselves as Beta Users. They download the software/OS. Analyse it and give feedback to the company about the bugs, problems and issues they faced. The company makes the changes according to the feedback given by users and after that launches the software officially for public.
